Balsa Wood
Balsa Wood

It does not take a scientist to make a bottle rocket, but must be approached as one in the sense that it is necessary to have the tools and materials in place.
First gather all the necessary equipment you will need to build a bottle rocket. These include a bottle of course. Everything will be done, but a size of 1 bottle one liter soda is preferable.
You also need a bottle of glue, paint thinner (1 can), a roll of tape, a hose clamp (1 inch) and a manila folder.
You also must have the following: a pair of 2-inch nails, two pieces of wood from one measuring 2×4x12, and other 6×1/2×18, four sheets of balsa wood (6×4), and five wood screws one inch long.
An electrical junction box, 3 "stainless steel (approximately 1 / 8 "diameter), a 12" chain, a copper tubing 12 "long, and a test tube cap. In this project, the size has to be 4, with an opening in the center.
As for tools, prepare a compass, scissors, drill, sandpaper, hammer, angle marker, air compressor, jigsaw, and a screwdriver. The size varies with the wood screw you selected.
To build the bottle rocket, start by washing and drying of the soda bottle. Use paint thinner to remove all the glue and remove the labels too.
Take the balsa wood, and use the 5×3 market to highlight a shape (triangle). Use the saw to cut the form, and apply the sandpaper to smooth the edges. These will serve the fins of your rocket.
Stick the fins on the cylinder with the rubber cement. Make sure they are evenly spaced. The tape will be used to straighten the fins.
Take the compass and make a "4 circle. Use the scissors to cut a line from the outer circle of the center. Fold into a form of funnel. Glue, and add a bit of tape. Put it in the top of the bottle, and has its nose configuration. Let the glue overnight and then can remove the tape.
Making the launch pad for easy bottle rockets. Take the 2×4 lumber and cut it in half. Against them so that each is approximately 18 cm apart from each other, Get 18-inch wood and put it on the 2×4 so that both sides have supported it. Use the screwdriver to drive a screw wood on the Board 18in. Repeat on the other side, and the platform is completed.
Next, take the junction box and inert of a screw for the junction box is connected to the platform. Drill a hole in the box so that the stopper of the test tube can fit, put the cap there. Place the copper tubing in the cap. Connect the air compressor pipe using the hose clamp.
Get the wire and a horseshoe shape. Secure the rope in the center of horseshoe, and put inside the electrical box. Drill a hole in each 2×4 piece of wood, and the platform for the bottle rocket is finished.
Take the platform external launch, and hammer a few nails on the basis of what is attached to the land. Pour 20 oz of water in the bottle, put a pin in the neck, set the compressor air at 45 psi. Pull the string and watch your rocket fly bottle.
